With the baby lock Serenity, that’s a thing of the past. The machine operates without traditional thread tension discs and automatically regulates the amount of thread needed for each stitch.
Changing your needle, no screws required.
The new Snap-On Needle System from baby lock makes changing needles easier and more convenient. No tools, no fiddling: a built-in magnet holds the needle securely in place while you insert it. Tip: Ask your dealer to demonstrate how to do it when you buy the machine, and after that, you’ll be changing needles in a flash.
The Overlock Table

With the extra attachment for coverstitch accessories – such as bias binders, belt loop attachments, and much more – you can not only create unique necklines but also turn any simple hem into a real showstopper. With RevolutionAir™, that hurdle is a thing of the past: needles and loopers are threaded using air – quickly, cleanly, and without any fiddling. Sewing made simple: you press a button and the air does the rest. Getting started on your project can be that easy.
More control with every stitch
The electronic speed control with LED display gives you full control at all times, from extremely slow sewing for delicate details to your usual pace. The needle up/down function stops the needle exactly where you need it: down in the fabric to secure your project so nothing slips, or up to easily load the fabric without having to turn the hand wheel. This way, the Serenity sews exactly at your pace and stops exactly where you need it to.
More room for creative ideas
The knee lever lets you raise or lower the presser foot with your knee without having to take your hands off the fabric. When you raise the presser foot, the feed dog automatically lowers. This makes it easier to load and unload fabric, for greater comfort, more control, and more enjoyment while sewing.

Serenity functions briefly explained
The Serenity operates without traditional thread tension discs. Instead, it automatically regulates the exact amount of thread needed for each stitch. Different threads, different stitch widths, and different fabric thicknesses: the machine adjusts automatically.
The new Snap-On Needle System allows for quick and safe needle changes, no screws or tools required. A built-in magnet holds the needle securely in place while you insert it. As with any new movement, a little practice helps: we recommend going through the process once with your dealer when you make your purchase.
You decide where the needle stops at the end of each sewing operation. With the “down” setting, the needle remains in the fabric: your project is securely held in place, and you can reposition the fabric without anything shifting. With the “up” setting, not only is the needle in the highest position, but so is the knife – making it easier to load your fabric without having to turn the handwheel. This way, you can work on every project in the way that’s most comfortable for you.
As soon as you raise the presser foot, whether using the knee lever or the presser foot lift lever, the feed dog lowers automatically. This makes it easier to load your fabric, prevents it from rubbing against the feed dogs, and gives you more space under the presser foot, while also helping to protect delicate fabrics.
Whether you’re sewing with a flatlock, rolled hem, or Wave Stitch, you can transform functional seams into decorative details. When combined with Extra Woolly Lock or Metallic Woolly Lock thread, you’ll create shiny, high-quality decorative seams with an elegant look.
