Acclaim – baby lock overlock machine

The Acclaim has two innovative air threading systems. With the ExtraordinAir system, a compressor activated at the push of a button threads the looper threads reliably and quickly. The RevolutionAir system even allows the needles to be threaded using air. With these systems, threading the Acclaim is child’s play. Simply select the desired thread, put it on or insert it, press the corresponding button and the thread is threaded as if by itself.

Rolled hem, flatlock seam or border stitch: the wide range of possible uses of overlock seams invites you to experiment and decorate. With the Acclaim, the variety of seam games can be topped even further, because it can be used to create unique wave seams. The wave seam is a special decoration that turns even the simplest piece of fabric into an eye-catcher. These wave-shaped creations can only be made with baby lock sewing machines.

The differential feed can be used to significantly optimize the appearance of the sewn pieces. Unwanted seam puckering, unsightly gathered or protruding seams can easily be prevented, because the differential feed ensures optimal fabric transport. In addition, the setting options can also be used to deliberately achieve imaginative puckering effects.

When the adjustment button for the stitch width is turned clockwise or anti-clockwise, the chain tongue and the upper blade move synchronously to the right or left. Thanks to this special technology, the seam width can be adjusted very easily. The actual seam width changes and not just the cutting width as is the case with conventional sewing. Overcuts and undercuts are prevented and there is no need to adjust the amount of looped thread. The stitch becomes wider or narrower without the need for annoying and time-consuming adjustment.

Clearly arranged and accessible at all times, the stitch length can be adjusted with just one wheel. In the standard sewing area, the stitch length can be varied from 0.75 to 4 in the desired length. The setting values ​​can be read off on a simple scale. At the same time, you can easily switch to the rolled hem function here without having to take any additional steps. In the rolled seam area, the chain tongue is in the lowered position. This enables a very narrow seam.

Another convenient feature of the baby lock Acclaim is the foot lifter attached to the side. The foot can be easily raised and lowered from the front with the right hand. This not only optimizes the work area, but also means you always have your sewing project in view and under control. The sewing machine also has an extra high, two-stage foot lift of up to 8 mm. This means that even higher layers of fabric fit between the foot and the feed dog.

When sewing two-thread seams, the Acclaim’s subsidiary looper/converter can be easily activated. Since it is firmly attached to the upper looper, it cannot be misplaced or lost.

You can store important utensils in the practical accessory compartment, which is located under the thread spool holder. The delivery includes:

There is a magnetic storage area on the accessory compartment, e.g. for storing needles.

While most machines use slanted needles that can push and damage the fabric, the needles on baby lock sewing machines are arranged vertically and pierce directly into the fabric. This exclusive feature protects your fabric and prevents the needles from being crushed. It also gives you greater stitch security and power when sewing.

All baby lock sewing machines are very user-friendly and comfortable to sew. The features mentioned above are complemented by a number of other conveniences. All machines have long-lasting and powerful LED lighting, a stable telescopic thread guide, high stitch reliability and precisely adjustable foot pressure. The Acclaim also has a magnetic needle tray. The short blade/needle distance supports clean seam formation. The needle screws are also secured with a plate. This is convenient and protects the thread, because the screws no longer have to be screwed down when no needle is being used.

Wherever sewing takes place, fibers fly. This applies to overlock machines more than to any other sewing machine. Regular cleaning is essential due to the sewing dust. This prevents large amounts of fluff from piling up under the needle plate and affecting sewing. The side flap on the Acclaim can be opened, which makes cleaning much easier.

The Acclaim also has a safety feature. The machine does not sew if the flaps are open and/or the foot is up. This reduces potential sources of error.
