Sewing projects made from extremely thick materials are no challenge for this straight stitch machine; it even handles very heavy leather with ease. That makes the Hagane especially well-suited for leatherwork. Its powerful, high-performance motor ensures consistently even, beautifully formed seams.

The Teflon-coated needle plate and presser foot ensure leather feeds smoothly and evenly, while the enlarged needle hole and improved bobbin stopper make it easy to work with thicker threads (up to Tex 90). Adjustable Sewing Speed
A two-stage speed control allows you to sew at either 500 or 1,500 stitches per minute. The minimum speed of just 40 stitches per minute provides precise control when working with materials that can’t be re-stitched. The needle position button lets you set the exact needle position at the end of a seam; particularly helpful when placing single, accurate stitches.

The Teflon foot comes as standard and is specially designed to glide smoothly over thicker materials. Its construction allows it to handle heavy fabrics with ease while supporting stitch lengths of up to 7 mm for added versatility.
The Teflon-coated stitch plate ensures smooth, consistent feeding of leather and other heavy materials. Key features include:

The feed dog height can be adjusted to three different levels to match the weight of your fabric. This ensures optimal fabric feeding every time; whether working with light, medium, or heavy materials.
The inner shuttle ensures high stitch reliability, even at elevated sewing speeds and when working with thicker threads. The bobbin housing remains easily accessible at all times; including when the machine is fitted with an extension table.
