When developing sewing machines, baby lock has always focussed on one question: How can sewing be made even more convenient? As a result, baby lock machines still impress today with the highest quality and ease of use with professional sewing results. Automatic threading systems or automatic thread delivery not only provide sewing beginners and professionals with carefree sewing pleasure. They are also innovations with which baby lock continues to reaffirm its pioneering role in the overlock and coverstitch sector.
Overlock, coverstitch and coverlock machines form the centre of baby lock’s sewing machine range. In addition, individual sewing techniques for which specialised sewing machines have been developed have been taken up again and again in the past. For example, there was a blind hem machine or a machine for dry felting. The Sashiko is still available today, a machine that can imitate a hand stitch in a unique way.
Overlock sewing machines
There are currently four overlock sewing machines in the baby lock range. Even if they differ in their subtleties, the same applies to all models: Simply start sewing without much thought! The enspire allows you to adjust the looper and needle thread settings manually, while the Victory is equipped with automatic thread delivery. The enlighten can also conjure up wave stitches and the Acclaim is the sum of all baby lock conveniences. Even the needle thread is threaded with air. Simple sewing with professional sewing results – that’s what baby lock stands for!
Coverstitch sewing machines
There are currently three coverstitch-only sewing machines in the baby lock range. Even with the cover stitch it is a pleasure to cover. The first cover stitch from baby lock and also the smallest in the range sews all fabrics perfectly. Threading or adjusting the machine is also quick and easy as usual. The Euphoria was developed in response to numerous customer requests. It has the long-awaited wide passage and the manual thread tension has been replaced by the automatic thread delivery system. In 2024, baby lock’s latest masterpiece appeared – the Primo top coverstitch machine.
Coverlock sewing machines
Three coverlock sewing machines are currently available in the baby lock range. The desire3 is our compact all-rounder. It combines conveniences such as automatic thread delivery, air threading or 5-thread stitch variety in a small space. If you need a little more, it’s worth taking a look at the Ovation or the Gloria. They not only have a large feed-through, knee lever or speed control. They also sew with a maximum of eight threads, including a wave stitch. The Gloria scores with even more convenience. It even threads the needles automatically and has additional safety features and optimised thread paths.
Hand stitch sewing machine
Sashiko, a Japanese embroidery tradition that originated more than a millennium ago, is colloquially translated as ‘chopstick technique’. It impresses with its creative simplicity and timeless artistry. The patented baby lock Sashiko imitates the well-known hand stitch and makes the hearts of quilters and patchworkers beat faster. It sews with a single thread, which is automatically threaded and unthreaded for the characteristic stitch pattern.
